Kihaus Folk Festival celebrates its 35th anniversary
First artists announced at Folklandia
Kihaus Folk Festival takes place in Rääkkylä on 10–11 July 2026 – and next summer marks our 35th anniversary. Under the theme “See you in stories!”, Kihaus brings together leading names in Finnish contemporary folk, exciting new voices, and beloved traditions. The first artist announcements already form a strong and varied programme, combining international success stories with local storytellers.

Kihaus Folk is Finland’s only event that highlights the cultural heritage of North Karelia in particular.
We are also one of Finland’s oldest folk music festivals. In honor of our anniversary, we want to share our stories with you too. This year, Kihaus will once again showcase the leading names in Finnish contemporary folk music, new artists, and beloved traditions.
