About Rääkkylä Folk ry

Rääkkylä Folk ry is an active association founded in 2007. We support North Karelian folk music and culture, and believe in community. We bring together artists, tradition bearers, creative professionals, locals and international friends – united by music and the wellbeing that comes from doing things together. With us, no one is left alone.

Our main activity is organising the annual Kihaus Folk Festival in Rääkkylä. Around 80 volunteers take part each year – and everyone is welcome to join! We also produce other events, concerts and training throughout the year.
